Fr. Eliacín graduated from Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry in 2014 and was ordained in June 2015. Until our Call he was Curate at St. Luke’s-San Lucas in Vancouver, WA. Previously, he served as Deacon and Youth Minister at St. Andrew’s, Seattle. He also serves as a trainer for the Diocese’s College of Congregational Development.
Fr. Eliacín was born in Puerto Rico. There, he was Program Director for a faith-based retreat and conference center. He met his wife, Ricci in Port Orchard in 1997. She was born and raised in Bremerton and is passionate about teaching. They share a love of books and good coffee and enjoy meeting people and learning their stories. Their nephew Alexis (17) is a senior in high school. He moved last year from Puerto Rico to Washington for education. He likes cooking and learning languages. Alexis loves people and enjoys helping out. Catie (14) is a freshman in high school. She is interested in social justice. Catie and her dad share a love for Batman comics. She is developing a taste for coffee and can sing all of the songs from Hamilton. Gabriel (10) will be in 5th grade. He loves LEGOS and designing buildings. He is a soccer player, plays Samba drums, and likes to acolyte. Elías (8) will be in 3rd grade. He loves Calvin & Hobbes and stuffed animals. He is a cuddler and a tough wrestler. He is interested in learning how to bake.
Fr. Eliacín’s starting date in Monday, September 11th. We will welcome his and his family at a special coffee hour after the 10AM service on September 24th. Fr, Eliacííín looks forward to meeting us, hearing our stories, and leading us in worship and ministry.
