The Endowment Fund is thriving, growing and giving back:
- The Fund is thriving because people give financial gifts as a legacy of faith:
*It’s easy and tax deductible to join those who have already contributed to St. John’s Endowment Fund, where donated gifts are working together to further our compassionate giving ministry.
- The Fund is growing because it’s well managed:
*The Charter ensures that the principal of any gift will not be spent—but invested wisely to grow—creating funds that enable ministry. Most of St. John’s Endowment Fund is currently invested in and managed by the DIF (Diocesan Investment Fund) which provides good long term gains/growth.
- The Endowment Fund gives back:
*The Fund was created to “enhance the ministry within and the ministry without St. John’s Church and the facilities where those ministries take place”. (Corporate Resolution/Fund Charter). Through a grant process, it gives to many ministries that the parish supports through volunteer activities as well as ongoing support of local community needs.
Here are some examples of how the Endowment Fund is giving back to the Community in wonderful ways :
Snohomish Food Bank
Operation School Bell
Hansen Shoe Fund
St. John’s Community Kitchen
Central Primary and Emerson Elementary Schools- student supply backpacks
It’s easy and tax deductible to join those who have already contributed to St. John’s Endowment Fund, where donated funds are working together to further our compassionate giving ministry. You may already be contributing: The simple tradition of donating a dollar a year for Birthdays and Anniversaries, goes directly to the Endowment Fund.
Wherever we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the lonely, listen to those who are rejected, and bring unity and peace to those who are divided, we proclaim the living Christ.
