Who Attends…

All youth in grades six through 12 are invited to participate in St. John’s Youth Group.  Within the Youth Group there is Junior Youth for grades six through eight and High School Youth for grades 9 through 12.

While meetings are held at the same time from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month, the meetings break into their respective age groups for the lesson portion of each meeting.

Every other month on the third Thursday our church cooks a meal for the Community Kitchen at St. John’s parish hall . On those Thursdays the youth gather at 5:40 p.m. and eat dinner with the Community Kitchen community.  After dinner the youth clear tables and wash dishes.

In addition to monthly meetings one activity is scheduled per month. Sometimes these activities involve service to the community. Other times a fun activity is planned.

Fundraiser

St. John’s Junior Youth Group has an ongoing fundraiser. The youth collect used printer ink cartridges and old, unused cell phones. This activity benefits the environment by keeping these materials out of landfills and helps to raise money for St. John's Youth Group activities.
